Project description
Scope and solutions
The project comprised a locomotive repair hall together with a railway siding, a car park and an office/staff welfare building. The buildings reference modernist architecture. Rhythmic vertical window divisions visually shorten the two-storey massing of the office/staff building, elongated for functional reasons. The locomotive repair hall, added on the north-east side, matches the height and width of the existing rail-trolley (draisine) hall. Its window divisions correspond to those of the office/staff section.

20,224 m² production and warehouse hall: 2.5 MVA MV service connection, 2×1600 kVA substation, 2,080 kW generator set.
