Scope and solutions
“Restoration of the Old Market Square in Poznań together with the conversion of part of the central market block (Jana Baptysty Quadro Street) into a cultural passage” — client City of Poznań, design & build (general contractor: TORMEL and WUPRINŻ consortium), lead design consultant Graph'it Sp. z o.o.; design 2021–2022, construction 2022–2024. Reconstruction and modernisation of the carriageway and pedestrian surfaces of the Old Market Square and adjoining streets while preserving their historic character, together with construction and reconstruction of underground infrastructure — on low-bearing soils, with the pavement build-up limited to 1.2 m due to archaeological sites. Documentation prepared by the Eko Elprom + WLC Inżynierowie consortium (29.09.2021–13.09.2024), entirely in BIM with a CDE platform: WLC — roads, structural engineering and water & drainage; Eko Elprom — electrical and ELV disciplines (power supply to the square and passage, lighting and architectural illumination, power for outdoor events, cable duct system, network reconstruction, ELV systems) and designer's site supervision.
